ZEBULUN;  (Hebrew: זְבֻלוּן or זְבוּלֻן or זְבוּלוּן,), was born 1562 BC, in Paddan-aram,, to Israel (aka Jacob) & Leah.  The sixth in the line of twelve.. Also the last to be born of Leah..

His blessing can be found in Genesis 49:13;

​

N Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he shall be for an haven of ships;

and his border shall be unto Zidon. 

​

The text of the Torah gives two different etymologies for the name Zebulun, which textual scholars attribute to different sources – one to the Jahwist and the other to the Elohist;   the first being that it derives from zebed, the word for gift, in reference to Leah's view that her gaining of six sons was a gift from God; the second being that it derives from yizbeleni, meaning honour, in reference to Leah's hope that Jacob would give her honor now that she had given birth to six sons.​

Zebulun was with his brothers upon the move of Jacob's household to Egypt, after finding Joseph there.  Zebulun had three sons – Sered, Elon, and Jahleel.. 

 

Zebulun is the founder of the Tribe of Zebulun.. Nooo doubt!  Some believe the depopulated village of Sabalan in the District of Safad was named after Zebulun.

Zebulun is entombed in in Sidon, Lebanon.. And is here, amid this weed fest!  Groundskeeper??  Hullo??  Anyone out there?  MAJOR GRAVE here!!  As are ALL the 12 brothers!
