This is the disciple who testifies of these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true.. And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.

The Apostle John!!  The self professed Apostle whom Jesus loved!!  Of ALL the Apostles Jesus had??  John is BY FAAR my utmost, 100%, ABSOLUTELY, WITHOUT a DOUBT - JOHN was my favorite.. & indeed - HE WAS the Apostle Jesus loved!!  John is the Apostle that I have ALWAYS MY LIFE wanted to be like!!  👍

He got it!  He 100% TOTALLY GOT IT!! 😋 The Apostle who leaned his head upon Jesus' breast at the last supper, in THIS room.. The ONLY Apostle they couldn't kill!!  IMO - that is why!!  He had ABSOLUTELY no doubt about the neverending flow of God's love for him.  He KNEW that indeed, he, was the reason for Jesus' arrival upon earth!!  You can't kill someone who CONSTANTLY RESTS within the LOVE OF GOD!  They once, even tried to kill John by dropping him in a vat of boiling oil ~ PSSSH!  He was not blemished one iota!   At the CROSS.. Roll call?  JOHN??  HERE!!  Indeed - he was the ONLY disciple at the foot of the cross, when Jesus was crucified - & six hours later, when Jesus died.. To give FULL TESTAMENT as to what happened!!  What a guy - & my favorite disciple of Jesus!! 👍👍

Should you have asked the Apostle John the immortal question -

I suppose the would've been something along the lines of what follows...

Q: What is life about??

A:  It's about the fact that God loves you & me!  He loves you soo much, He gave up EVERYTHING He had..  EVERYTHING He had!  GAVE His only begotten Son!  For YOU!  & would have done it - had YOU been the ONLY one on this earth - indeed, THAT is how much He loves us!

If you live everyday resting in THAT knowledge - you would/will be UNTOUCHABLE!  Hallelujah!!!

THE APOSTLE JOHNaka; the disciple, whom Jesus loved... was born c. AD 6.. In Bethsaida, Galilee, under the Roman Empire..  He was one of the sons of Zebedee.. Zebedee and his sons fished in the Sea of Galilee. The brothers were first disciples of John the Baptist. Jesus then called  Peter, Andrew and these two sons of Zebedee to follow him. The brothers, James and John, are listed among the Twelve Apostles.  Jesus referred to the pair as "Boanerges" (translated "sons of thunder")... Due to their nature being calm and gentle, howev, when their patience was pushed to its limits their anger became wild and thunderous causing them to speak out like an untamed storm. A gospel story relates how the brothers wanted to call down heavenly fire on a Samaritan town, but Jesus rebuked them. Luke 9:51-56, that rebuke was left outta John 😂.. I don't blame him though - I woulda left it out as well!! FoSho!!]  John lived for more than half a century following the martyrdom of James, who was the first Apostle to die a martyr's death.

After our Lord's death on the cross.. John built Mary (Jesus' mom), the home she would live out the rest of her life in..  He was the ONLY disciple at the cross - when Jesus was crucified!!  He was the one Jesus told from the cross, to look out for his mother, a promise that John made to Jesus, & fulfilled!

I'm just about NEAR almost positive, that at some point in his life, this piece woulda been sewn in somewhere to complete his garment.. Another??  Aannd ANOTHER!!  Also a 'broach', purportedly owned by the Beloved!!

Generally listed, (and confirmed), as the youngest of all Jesus' disciples, & the was the son of Zebedee, and Salome or Joanna. His brother was James, who was another of the Twelve Apostles... But NOT the brother of Jesus, James.. You dig??  The Church Fathers identify him as John the Evangelist, John of Patmos, John the Elder and the Beloved Disciple,

He outlived all the 11 other disciples of Jesus, once surviving being put in a vat of boiling hot oil!!  He was the only disciple to die of natural causes.

John the Apostle is the author of several books of the New Testament... the Gospel of John, (o'course - which is generally considered the BEST book, & has been referenced in film, more than any other New Testament book), and  the Book of Revelation.. Which is the ONLY book of the Bible, where there is a blessing in..  To all who read it..

After trying to kill John, by throwing him in a vat of boiling oil, as mentioned above, they decided amongst themselves that maybe life imprisoned - might be the best way of dealing with him.. He was sentenced to live out the rest of his life on Ephesus.. Twas here that he would get the 'REVELATION' - to write the book of the same name!  In his later days - he was required to be carried everywhere he went..  Everytime they would pick him up to carry him from place to place... Knowing he was soon to re-meet Jesus.. He would tell the ones who carried him..  Once I am dead??  There will be no one else alive, who TOUCHED HIM!!  (Talking about Jesus!!)

He died of natural causes, in c. AD 100 (aged 93–94)..

Visit his grave site here... Tombstone... Wide shot... Another wide shot.. BEAUTiful place!!

RIP John!!  Thank you for allowing God to use you to bring us your AWESOME epistles..  Your legacy was EPIC!!  & UNIVERSAL!!
