Noah... Who's name Biblically means 'relief' or 'comfort' - VERY COOL, FOSHO!!

Whaaat a fella!! Apparently - the ONLY fella, found to be favorable with God before the flood in which God wiped out every living creature on the face of the earth. Throughout the generations, Noah is said to have been a genteel soul, & ('of course') a Godly man!  The first, also, no doubt, to be that of THEE wine connoisseur!! (since Scripture says he was THE FIRST, to plant a vineyard)..  Thus, we know he was, indeed, a VERY happy fella.. & technically speaking - the father of us all!!  Like it or not!!  Believers (blessed) - and non-believers (cursed) alike...

 

ALL of US!!!  

 

'...And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan. These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth were dispersed.' ~(Genesis 9:18)

 

If you were to go out on the limb faar enough in YOUR family tree (WHOEVER you are... And, there - you'll find Noah..) Drinking a nice glass of wine, smiling, & giving you a robust toast I am sure! 😉

Thaaaat's wild, eh??  BUT oh SOOOO COOL A THOUGHT!! 

So - in essence - we are AwwLL Jewish - & somewhere along the line (or several places along the line), an irrational family member (or family itself) & [a few times over prolly], went astray from their Jewish ancestry... settling in Germany, Spain, Russia, India, and so on and so on.. Making you the nationality your entire family thought they were heritage of... SURPRISE!!! (Or sorry if'n your an I-tailian!!)  It's GOOD NEWS actually!!!

Nailing it all down (and my point is), YOU, are Jewish... We ALL, are.. If we were to get technical about it! 😉

With that said... here is the story of Noah... which is in Genesis in The Bible.. Besides Genesis, however, Noah is mentioned in Isaiah, Ezekiel, 1 Chronicles, Matthew, Luke, and 1st & 2nd Peter...

Not much is KNOWN, but 'merely speculated' about Noah's childhood... This much, however, is known... 

His father was named Lamech, and upon Noah's birth, Lamech said,

"Out of the ground that the LORD has cursed, this one shall bring us relief from

our work and from the painful toil of our hands!" ~ Genesis 5:29...

And, O HOW SO RIGHT he was!!!

 

Noah was the son of Lamech, who was the son of Methuselah..  Methuselah was 969 when his days upon the earth were ended.  The longest living human being to EVER live upon the earth!  Cool stuff. fosho'nuff!!

 

Judging from his nature as an adult, however, we can assimilate, can't we?? (SURE we can!! #Whythehecknot?)..  That the genteel, Godly man, that Noah was as an adult - was much the same as a child.  At the RIPE ol age of 480 - God confirmed to Noah what I am sure he'd surmised from thus fars '480 years' of life's experience.. & that is...

Apart from God - life sucks!  👌

When Noah was five hundred years old (yes 500), he became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth (Genesis 5:32).

 

Man had become evil, unsightly, & detestable in the sight of God..

God commanded Noah to build an ark.. & gave him the wood he was to use along with the dimensions - and 120 years later.. BEHOLD! There she sat.. (THIS is a replica 🙄- just in case there was ANY doubt with ANY of y'all at'tall, mmKAY??🙄).. (So - NO eMails, plz, ty!!)  

 

The ark was complete! ..And God Almighty was about to unleash an UNBELIEVABLE wrath of fury upon an unrepentant, evil & wicked generation!!  (AKA.. wipe mankind OUT! )  Animals & plants alike - were not immune from the debt of this, evil generation's sins! 

 

When the people of that day,, saw the ark that Noah was building... No doubt.. there were tough criticisms & mockings thrown at Noah!!  As rain was (little to none), in those days. So the idea that Noah was building a large vessel for water - didn't compute NOR commute, to the unrepentant doomed humans... Who, NO doubt, made it a point each day to chastise Noah.

There are several locales on earth, that claim to have Noah, planted in their self-respective hallowed grounds.  Obviously - he can't be in them all... But the mere speculation of 'which one' is 'THE one' - is somewhat interesting in itself!

THE ARK..

Over the span of time since Noah - several have laid claim to finding the ark.  The most credible being that of archeologist, Ron Wyatt.

Before excitement starts building (as it did with me) - you'll should know - Although, Snopes, calls the location a falsetto.... (Shame on Snopes, btw.. For not doing a BIT more research & fact checking on the issue before posting what are supposed to be facts!!  At the least??  Especially on a site like Snopes.. Being that it CAN'T be confirmed either way.. It shoulda been listed as "UNDETERMINED"!!).. There is convincing evidence (a plethora of it on google, actually).. After studying it for a couple months.. I do, (personally) believe that, indeed, 'ol Ron - GATS IT!!  He's da winner!!  Ding DING! Bing BING!! 😉  (On a side note - TOTALLY & ABSOLUTELY NOT related to Noah or this story, but COOL nonetheless... Did you know that BING ; as in the search site owned by Microsoft... Stands for 'But It's Not Google=BING!' Haha!)  ANYWAY, as for Ron's find??  (Back to him now)...  Though I'm not 100% on his find.. Mmbut the speculation is HALF THE FUN!! Ain't it??

The great state of Kentucky, USofA - might have your ticket number punched!!  The Ark Experience, in Williamstown, Kentucky is centered around a real life Noah's Ark experience.  Built with the exact dimensions, wood, & material that God instructed Noah to use.. It gives you a nice feel of being 'there' during the flood (minus all that pesky water & flooding outside.)  That's an experience we can do without though.. Noah lived to a hearty ripe 950 years young.  He was 'the last' of the antediluvian Patriarchs (which is to say the time period referred to in the Bible between the fall of humans and the Genesis flood narrative.)  Noah also holds the whopping claim to FIVE different tombs in the world, (Azerbaijan west of Armenia, Najaf, Iraq, Jordan, Turkey, & Karak Nuh, & Lebanon..) All that claim to hold Noah on or in their ground.  Whilst 5 claim the fame of holding of Noah.. The ladder, of Lebanon, has always been the reported true hallowed ground (even by Noah's ancestry).  Mark Twain wrote of visiting the grave on his travels..

"Noah's tomb is built of stone, and is covered with a long stone building. Bucksheesh let us in. The building had to be long, because the grave of the honored old navigator is two hundred and ten feet long itself! It is only about four feet high, though. He must have cast a shadow like a lightning-rod. The proof that this is the genuine spot where Noah was buried can only be doubted by uncommonly incredulous people. The evidence is pretty straight. Shem the son of Noah, was present at the burial, and showed the place to his descendants, who transmitted the knowledge to their descendants, and the lineal descendants of these introduced themselves to us to-day. It was pleasant to make the acquaintance of members of so respectable a family. It was a thing to be proud of. It was the next thing to being acquainted with Noah himself."
