"Ye have NOT, because ye ask not; Or ask amiss!!

JAMES; half-brother of Jesus!!  (I don't care what the Catholics say!  Especially when the Bible refutes this,

BTW - those that're  NOT Catholic.. (THANK GOD,) first of all  No other religious organization ON EARTH.. Has the track record of taking God's Word; Misinterpreting it.. And going with it!!   A couple of facts based directly from the Bible that the Catholics testify to..

Mary was a lifelong virgin.. (cue that buzzer... WROONG!  The Gospel of Matthew 13:55–56 (KJV) states of Jesus  (by the NAYSAYER Jews, btw).. "Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?  The same verses also mention unnamed sisters of Jesus.

You know... Really??

All you really need to do nowadays... Is look at the Pontiff Pope of the Catholic church, and what he says & 'tries' making doctrine of the church, to see - the church has gone out into space so far, & gotten so lost.. That it's unlikely they'll ever come back!!

It's gone from - Jesus .. (right on track!),

To - Mary being deity .. (eyebrows  raised!)

To prayer to the saints (RED FLAGS 🚩RAISED SUPER-DUPER HIGHLY!!!)...

All you need to debunk the ladder - is to go to John 14:6 KJV.. It'll blow thaaat theory to smithereens...

ANYYWAYY - enough about that - & onto James!!  A heck of a fella!!  Understandable that, until he, himself, saw his half brother, Jesus, after His ressurection - he didn't believe his brother could possibly be Messiah!  Even commenting , “He has gone out of his mind.”  MmBut, Put yourself in his shoes for a moment.  Presumably, after Jesus (of course), the eldest son of Mary & Joseph (together).. Growing up with Jesus... Would YOU suspect your brother who you grew up, and played on the streets with, was in fact, 'the Christ??'

Son of Joseph and Mary, and flesh half-brother of Jesus, James; The writer of the Book of James.  After the death of Jesus and prior to Pentecost 33 AD, James is told to be with his mother, brothers, and the apostles, in an upper, (or now lower) chamber in Jerusalem to pray.... James was leader of the first & headquartering Christian church in Jerusalem.. Through that - came his Epistles!!

If your looking for a Book in the Bible with a great story, sugar coated, and ooey-gooey-gushy??  Then James book, IS NOT,  your Biblical book!!  James gets right to the point!!  The VALUES & MORALS of Christianity!!  He is BLUNT, FORCEFUL, and NO BULLSHAT!!  I love the way the beloved legendary servant of God, Kenneth Hagin put it, "I always walk way with my ears burning, and my conscience pricked after reading James!! 😂  However - if you are looking for a Biblical book that will bring you closer to his half- brother, Christ??  Annd you don't mind a little tearing down of your barriers blocking you from receiving GOD's BEST??  Then James, beloved... Is YOUR BOOK!!!  With that ~ his story...

James the Just, or brother of the Lord  (Latin: Iacomus from Hebrew: יעקב Ya'akov and Greek: ἸάκωβοςIákōbos, can also be Anglicized as "Jacob"), was born in Jerusalem.. Date unknown, but it was probably 5-10 years after Jesus... (speculating 'ere folks, is ALL!).. Not much is known of his childhood, sadly..  I, personally, would LOVE to hear about the growing up with Jesus!!

He most likely lived 'here', growing up with half-brother Jesus..  See inside??  Why - SURE!!

THIS: from Wiki; James should NOT be confused with James, son of Zebedee; John (the beloved's) brother & Jesus' disciple)

Eusebius records that, Clement of Alexandria professed, "This James, whom the people of old called "the Just" because of his outstanding virtue, was the first, as the record tells us, to be elected to the episcopal throne of the Jerusalem church. Other titles  are "James the brother of the Lord, surnamed the Just, and "James the Righteous".  See video below of the first Christian church, in Jerusalem - headed by James...  VERY VERRRRY cool!

James was a crucial part of The Council of Jerusalem, whereby the leaders of the new Christian church, gathered to decree the Christian doctrine..  The Council, (which is circa dated to 48 AD, roughly 15 to 25 years after the crucifixion of Jesus), was led by leaders of the newly formed Christian church; Paul, Barnabas, Peter, and (of course), James... The council decided that Gentile converts to Christianity were not obligated to keep most of the Law of Moses, including the rules concerning circumcision of males.. James disagreed; Though Paul & Peter, argued that, "these are laws that were put on the shoulders of our fathers that, they, themselves could not even bear."

The Council did, however, retain the prohibitions on eating blood (gross), meat containing blood, and meat of animals not properly slain, fornication, sexual immorality, and idolatry.. ALL PROHIBITED!!

You can BET they were led by the Holy Spirit in those meetings!!

The purpose of the meeting, according to Acts, was to resolve a disagreement in Antioch, which had wider implications than just circumcision, since circumcision is the "everlasting" sign of the Abrahamic Covenant (Genesis 17:9–14).  Some of the Pharisees, who miraculously & stunningly (HAD-to-be by the grace of God) - had become believers, insisted that it was "needful to circumcise them, and to command [them] to keep the law of Moses... The decree??  The Law came thru Moses.. GRACE, which was the new covenant in effect- came thru Jesus!!  (see John 1:17)

It was James, however, who submitted a proposal, which was accepted by the Church and became known as the Apostolic Decree:

"It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood.. For the law of Moses has been preached in every city from the earliest times and is read in the synagogues on every Sabbath." ~Acts 15:19–21

James 'the Just', was, installed the leader of the Church at Jerusalem after Peter left Jerusalem due to Herod Agrippa's attempt to kill him.. James appears as the principal authority who presided at Council of Jerusalem.

Peter would later start his first church in Turkey..

James' death has been a circle of speculation, and different opines..  One thing ALL agree on, is that he was considered a Red Martyr. (which is generally a martyum term reserved for high ranking early followers of Christ..)

According to Josephus - James was stoned to death by Ananus ben Ananus.

Clement of Alexandria said that "James was thrown from the pinnacle of the temple, & as the fall didn't kill him, he was subsequently beaten to death with a club".

James tomb is in the hands of a man by the name of Oded Golan(a  Israeli engineer, entrepreneur, and antiquities collector. He owns one of the largest collections of Biblical archaeology in the world.)  James bones are 'purportedly' in this ossuary.  An Aramaic inscription in the Hebrew alphabet meaning "James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus," is cut into one side of the box.  Though once on a world tour.. The Ossuary of James is now said to be at rest in the home of Oded..  No word on another world tour ANYtime soon!!

RIP, James, the Just!  Christianity - thanks to your gospel - is made SO MUCH BETTER when your Epistle is applied!!
