Naphtali (Hebrew: נַפְתָּלִי),  was born in 1578 BC, in Paddan-aram, Israel..  The sixth son of Israel (aka Jacob), and second son with Bilhah. He was the founder of the Israelite Tribe of Naphtali...  All surmising from the Genesis narrative points to Naphtali being a rather shy, quiet, and into himself, child.. He grew up in Shechem, in the Land of Canaan.

According to Genesis 46:24, Naphtali had four sons: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem. The name of his wife/wives are not given. He and his family migrated to Egypt with the rest of the clan, where they remained until the Exodus.

Purportedly; Naphtali gave his sons no commandment except regarding the fear of God, that they should serve Him and follow after Him, he also admonished them not to join themselves unto the sons of Joseph but join the sons of Levi and Judah. He also had a vision about the division of tribes of Israel and told to them that Abraham was chosen by God for his faith.

His blessing from Israel (aka Jacob), was a blessing (and NOT a curse; as several of his brothers were), found in Genesis 49:21... Apparently - the shortest of the blessings Israel gave his sons.. (But after hearing the cursings of his brothers; the blessing he recieved, no doubt, was MUSIC to his ears!) FoSho!!!

According to the apocryphal Testament of the Twelve Patriarchs, he died at 137..

He is buried beside Ashur, in Tel Kedesh, Israel, in THIS, UNkempt grave ((WARNING -a HARD to look at notice!!))

  I almost dread seeing the graves of the 12 now!  ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING these are 12 of THE MOST IMPORTANT PEOPLE in HISTORY, (and ETERNITY... [Rev. 21:12!!]
